Otoplasty

What is a Otoplasty?

Otoplasty, or “ear pinning”, is the reshaping of the ears to correct excessive prominence and noticeability.  Oftentimes the ears may sit too far forward or stick too far outward, resulting in an unwanted conspicuous appearance.

Dr. Markey performs otoplasty both in-clinic with local anesthesia and in the operating room under general anesthesia. He is able to correct ear deformities of all types, including excessively prominent ears, abnormally shaped ears, stretched ear lobules secondary to earrings, and traumatic ear deformities like cauliflower ears. These procedures are performed across all age groups starting as young as age 4 or 5.
